That concept all sounds ideal and fair!
I just think it isn't feasible anymore, what with the largeness of world populations. And it leaves out the increasing responsibility of "Smith" (the original aggressor) for having started the whole fight! "Smith" is the one who should be properly contained and prosecuted. And while I understand that it doesn't give "Jones" the right to hurt anyone else in the process, I'm not sure this concept can be applied to today's military actions, especially when "Smith" is known to put a third party in front of him as a human shield.

What can we say then??-------how can we return to the "old" way of fighting where armies met each other on an open field and only soldier were in the heat of battle? Or at best, even if secretive tactics are allowed so that the front lines aren't just human decoys falling at the first round of shots, having those battlegrounds closed to innocent people? It's a dilemma. The population is big, even if the world no longer is. While I hate war, there are times when it's necessary......

Comment on Bailout Free-For-All: Companies Line Up For Cash by ConRes

Americans need to stop being so naive about the nature of government -- or business. They are living in a corporate state, why in the world should they expect fairness or honesty or integrity?

There is no surprise in these corrupt companies using our Bailout tax dollars to pay for executive bonuses, junkets, and to buy each other out. No surprise at all. That's what dishonest people do; what people not held accountable do. They've learned that most Americans won't act to stop it. They're not going to jail and they know it.

So how do we start stopping it?

We start by "un-electing" those Senators and Representatives who voted "yes" for the Bailout. They were willing to ignore the 90% of us who were against the Bailout, clearly demonstrating that they do NOT represent us.

A new group called the Constituent Response Team has put together a Bailout Vote Map that makes it easy (as a mouse click) to find out how your Senators and Representatives voted. Check it out -- and then tell all your family and friends about it, so they can find out how their Representative and Senators voted before they cast their ballot on Tuesday.

If you are interested in stopping it, check out Constituent Response at http://www.constituentresponse.com . After the election, with a clean Congress, then we can start thinking about emptying the Lobby.

Yes, indeed, this is Capitalism with a capital S... O-C-I-A-L-I-S-M.

And it is not even working. These corrupt companies are merely using our tax dollars to pay for executive bonuses, junkets, and to buy each other out. It's got to stop--and that means getting rid of those who voted "yes."

It's time to just start over. Throw them all out, Dems and Republicans alike. There isn't an ounce of difference between them anymore anyway. Could the Libertarians or Greens really do any worse than this?

We can start by voting "no" against incumbants who voted "yes" for the Bailout. Don't know who they are? Check out Constituent Response's Bailout Vote Map at constituentresponse.com .
